Friday, Oct. 26: Oktoberfest Jazz at WCSU

Oktoberfest Jazz will be at 8 p.m. in the Veronica Hagman Concert Hall of the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the university’s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. Western’s large jazz ensembles will perform big band classics from the Thad Jones and Charlie Parker libraries. Frankensax is led by Andrew Beals; the Jazz Ensemble is led by Jimmy Greene and the Jazz Orchestra is led by Jamie Begian.
