AccessAbility Services, in partnership with the Counseling Center and the Office of Diversity and Equity is excited to announce, “Filling in the Gaps- Addressing Mental Health on WCSU’s Campus”. An interactive presentation by Laura DiGalbo a nationally known expert on mental health and the intersection of mental health on college campuses. This presentation is open to all Faculty, Staff, and Administrators.

Over the last several years, AccessAbility Services has seen an increased number of students with psychological disabilities enrolled at WCSU. Nationally, mental health conditions are the fastest growing disability population on college campuses. Through this presentation, we are attempting to: 1) raise awareness about issues related to student mental health and how it may impact retention/graduation, 2) improve conditions on campus for students with mental health conditions, and 3) provide support to faculty, staff and administrators on how to address mental health conditions.

Ancell Student Success Manual

The new issue of the Ancell Student Success Manual is now posted online under student resources on each program page.  We will get that up on the Ancell Commons webpage in the coming week.  This document is designed to help students at Westside find the resources they need.

TransferMation Online!

All transfer students coming into Ancell School received an email announcing access to our new Blackboard Learn TransferMation resource for students.  We’ve supplied the resources we want our students to have directly to their Blackboard feed.  The catch is, TransferMation is an ORG, not a course!  Now with the help of Kara Swenson, we’ve take it out of Blackboard and you can see what we’ve posted at https://staging.www.wcsu.edu/asb/transfermation/.
