Plans for after graduation:

What Career Services resources did you utilize?

Through the Career Services office, and with the help of Dr. Ciarleglio, I was able to take advantage of Western’s Co-op opportunity. During the Spring 2014 Semester, I was registered for 12 credits and able to complete a “busy season” international assignment services tax internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Stamford Office. My internship experience was amazing and full of hands-on learning that I would not trade in for anything. Students looking to get a jump start on their future should take full advantage of the office, and their amazing staff who is always looking out for your best interests.

Advice to WCSU students:

WCSU students don’t be shy! A university is a place that is not only meant to educate you, but also a place that should inspire you to achieve your goals. If you have questions never be afraid to ask, and if you have concerns, voice them! Career Services has an open door policy and they are always willing to give advice as well as guide you if you’re not sure what your next course of action should be. Take advantage of all the amazing things Western has to offer. To name a few: the Career Services, Student Technology Training Center, Publications, SGA (Student Government Association), Learning Commons, CSI (Center for Student Involvement), Choices, Tutoring Centers (Math & Writing Lab), Greek Life, PAC (Programs and Activities Council), and can you believe it – there is more!

Always remember that without students there would be no university. Your opinions, concerns, and questions they all matter. To sum it all up, don’t be shy it’s your university, take advantage of every opportunity WCSU has to offer.
