Study Abroad at Western

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” — Mark Twain

WCSU recognizes that international education is a necessity, not a luxury. Our world continues to change and as a result, it is imperative that Western students have as many opportunities as possible to complement their studies in Connecticut with study abroad.

Study abroad is beneficial because it creates global awareness, enhances academic learning, develops leadership skills, advances career opportunities, and facilitates personal growth. And, for many, it is a terrific opportunity to learn another language.
