What do I do if I missed Summer Orientation and need to
register for classes?

If you missed Summer Orientation but were already accepted by the university, your class schedule will be sent to you in the mail. If you are just now being accepted by the university, please make an appointment with the Advisement Center at (203) 837-8397 to register, and then get your ID and computer accounts on your own schedule. Our offices are open Monday through Friday all summer long. The computer centers are even open on the weekends and some evenings. Check the individual webpages for office hours or contact the Admissions Office at 203-837-9000 with questions regarding your status.

What about my parents?

LEAP Week is geared mostly towards students to make them feel welcome and comfortable with their new surroundings. However, there will be activities for parents on Friday, August 23, such as the Alumni Legacy Photo (if one or both parents are alumni), the Entering the Gates ceremony, the Opening Ceremony followed by a Barbeque. There is also a dinner for students and families that afternoon. New students will eat for free, parents will be asked to pay $10; siblings 12 and under pay $6.

Parents who want to find out how to avoid becoming a “Helicopter Parent” and find some other useful information for parents, should go to http://www.ecampustours.com/forparents/campuslife/helicopterparents.htm.
