Western Connecticut State University (WCSU) is a member of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities (ConnSCU) system.  ConnSCU is the largest public university system in Connecticut, consisting of twelve community colleges, four state universities and an online college with a combined enrollment of more than 90,000 students.

Further study after graduation
Over the last five years, more than 20 percent of bachelor’s degree recipients pursued further education. Of those graduating from WCSU between 5 and 10 years ago, more than 20 percent have received Masters’ and other advanced degrees, and 18 percent are still enrolled in degree programs. Graduation rates
Between 40 and 44 percent of first time full-time students receive bachelor’s degrees within six years. For those who complete their first year in good standing, the graduation rate is more than 60 percent. Transfer students with 30 or more credits at entry have even higher graduation rates (nearly 70 percent).

Retention rates
Between 71 and 75 percent of first time full-time students return for a second year. Retention rates are similar for transfer students.
