Under Coach John Burrell and his pass-first offense, WestConn goes on a streak of consecutive winning seasons from 2002 to 2005 that sees quarterback Joe DiMeglio break records for passing attempts in a game (65), passing attempts in a season (420), completions in a game (34) and completions in a season (224).

Receiver Vincent Sheperis also breaks records for catches in a game (24), catches in a season (74), catches in a career (233) and receiving yards in a career (3,340).
