‘Mr. Stick’ a Worthy linebacker

Glenn Worthy is a four-year letter winner for the Colonials on defense from 1984 to ‘87. In four years playing for WestConn, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound backer is named a Pizza Hut All-American in 1986, as well as an All-Conference selection in 1984 and All-Conference and All-New England selections in 1985. Capping off a stellar individual season in ’85, Worthy leads the Colonial’s football team to its first ever NCAA tournament appearance. Worthy is inducted into the WestConn Hall of Fame in October of 2001.
