The Career Success Center is proud to announce a new and more powerful job board called “WestConn Works”. Our job board and career development platform has an exciting new look, more powerful tools, and more ways for you to connect with employers, alumni, and staff. “Purple Briefcase” is the power software behind our new system; it is a cutting-edge career network used by many universities throughout the country.
To access the new WestConn Works simply:
Click the link to www.wcsu.edu/westconnworks and sign in.
For your first time entering, click on New User, select Western Connecticut State University from the pull down list, enter your name/email and click Find Me. Create an account and password and you are on your way.
Whether you are a first year student, about to graduate or already have graduated, WestConn Works is an important source of information, career-related events, and career exploration tools. Most importantly WestConn Works is the main platform that Western Connecticut State University uses to post internships, job opportunities, and other important career-related info. All students should visit the new site and get familiar with the new interface.

The Western Connecticut State University Career Success Center helps to prepare students to become job-ready and to progress confidently toward graduating and launching meaningful careers.

The Career Success Center is open year-round, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
We are pleased to provide specialized assistance inside/outside of these normal hours via workshops, class presentations, one-on-one appointments, and designated walk-in hours (on both campuses) to students and their clubs/organizations, faculty, and alumni.
Individual career coaching appointments can be scheduled by going online to WestConn Works. Once signed-in, click “Career Experts” in the left side toolbar. There, you will see the availability of all career counselors. You can also call (203) 837-8263 or visit us in person to schedule an appointment.
