SPINPlus
Western Connecticut State University subscribes to SPINPlus, a valuable search tool for locating funding opportunities. SPINPlus is the world’s largest the database of sponsored funding opportunities. You can access SPINPlus from any on-campus computer. Go to http://www.infoedglobal.com.
To access SPINPlus off campus and for added functionality (like saving searches and activating SMARTS email notifications, you will need to set up a username and password. To do this, go to the homepage (infoedglobal.com) and click on the SPIN tab at the top of the page. This will take you to the SPINPlus Login page. Click on the “Need to create a new profile?” link at the bottom of the Login box. After you have created your username and password, SPINPlus will send an email to the Director of the Office of Sponsored Research Administrative services for validation. Once this process is completed, you will be able to sign into SPINPlus from any computer on or off campus.
The web site offers a series of “on demand” training videos associated with SPIN and you may access them from the SPIN page. They are located on the upper right hand side under the “Help” tab.
