Schedule for Students and Parents

DAY 1 Day Program
11 a.m. Placement Testing in Haas Library Room 413 on 6/20, 6/24, 6/26  (Please report to placement testing first and then check-in to orientation after testing)
12:15 – 1:00 p.m. Get the Scoop on Athletics (for parents of student athletes) in Student Center 201 from 12:15 – 1:00 p.m. then check-in immediately following in the Student Center Lobby if you haven’t already done so
12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Check-in for Students in Litchfield Hall, Slider Snack Bag in SC Colonial Corner, visit bookstore, hang out or relax

Parents check-in at the Student Center Lobby, Slider Snack Bag in SC Danbury Room, visit bookstore, or relax

1:15 – 1:45 p.m. Campus Tour for students and parents leaving from Student Center Plaza
1:30 – 2:00 p.m. WCSU Welcome in Ives Concert Hall (White Hall) for students and parents
2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Student begin small group activities. Students will meet with their Orientation Leaders and have several small group activities to complete. Orientation Leaders have specific timetables. Science Building Lawn or Bill Williams Gym in case of rain.
2:00 – 4:30 p.m. Parent program continues with several informational sessions:
Introduction to Parent Program in Ives Concert Hall from 2:00 – 2:15 p.m.
Parent Information Session in Ives Concert Hall from 2:15 – 3:00 p.m.
Financial Aid Presentation in White Hall 127 or FREE TIME from 3:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Information Tables and light refreshments in Haas Library from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. (This concludes the Parent Orientation Program)
6:00 p.m. Bus to Westside Campus from Student Center Shuttle Stop for all students
6:15 p.m. Dinner in the Westside Marketplace in the Campus Center
7:00 – 8:45 p.m. Eric Mina – hypnotist on the Westside Campus in the Veronica Hagman Concert Hall
8:45 p.m. Bus back to Midtown Campus from the Campus Center Shuttle Stop
9 – midnight “Late Night” events and snacks.  Students meet in Litchfield Hall   (Day Only Session Students may leave at this time and return in the morning)
Day 2   (Day Only Session students should report to breakfast upon arrival)
8:30 – 9 a.m.
8:30 – 9 a.m.

Breakfast for all Honors students in the Midtown Student Center Colonial Corner
Breakfast for all other students in Midtown Student Center Restaurant
9 – 10 a.m. Continuation of small group activities with Faculty Roundtables and SAFE
10 – 11 a.m.. “Take It or Leave It” PAC Sponsored event spoof of game show “Deal or No Deal” in Science Building (SB) 125
11 a.m. – noon Eric Mina Keynote Speaker in Science Building (SB) 125
noon – 1:00 p.m. All students must check out of Litchfield Hall and remove their belongings

Students will be able to get their student ID, computer accounts, and buy books anytime during the day or may return any time over the summer (please check individual offices’ websites for office hours).
