Constitution Day: September 17th

Constitution Day with State Senator, Julie Kushner, will be held on September 17th at 6:00 pm in White Hall Rm. 127. Connecticut Sen. Julie Kushner will join us to talk about the authority and responsibilities that sacred document conveys to all of us. This is a free lecture and open to the public.

Weather Report: A Symposium on Art and Weather: October 19 

Weather Report: A Symposium on Art and Weather, present by The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, in partnership with the Meteorology Club at WCSU, Macricostas School of Arts and Sciences Meteorology Program, and the New York City/ Long Island Chapter of the American Meteorological Society, will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 11 am – 5 pm, in Ives Concert Hall, Midtown Campus. This event is free and open to the public, registration REQUIRED at staging.www.wcsu.edu/artweather.

Macricostas Lectures: Fall 2018 and Spring 2019:

Dr. Samuel Ortencio Flores, Assistant Professor of Classics at College of Charleston, discussed “Strangers and Foreigners in Ancient Greece” on March 22nd. This lecture was funded by The Macricostas Family Arts and Sciences Endowed.

Student Events: 

Pi Day, March 8th, 2019. The Math Club and Math Department hosted Pi Day, a little early, and had free t-shirts, arts and crafts, and Pi shaped cookies!
