[Lighting Design]

Scott Andrew Cally is an Associate Professor of Design and Technology at Kingsborough Community College and a freelance designer in the New York area. Lighting Design credits at Western include: Sweeney Todd, Lysistrata, Major Barbara, Into the Woods, Spring Awakening, Alice in Wonderland, Chicago, Two Nights at Doolin, The Greenbird, Aesop’s Fallibles, 12th Night, Little Women, You Can’t Take it with You, The Tender Land, Smokey Joe’s Café, Drunken City, Parade, The Snow Queen, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Merry Widow, Anne of Green Gables and The Stepmother. Last spring he was the recipient of a national Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Award for Distinguished Achievement in Lighting Design. This past summer he designed lighting for Big River at Old Castle Theatre Company in Vermont as well having the privilege to design the opening production In Praise of Elephants at the Ancram Opera House in Ancram, New York. A member of United Scenic Artists Local 829, IATSE, he received his M.F.A. from the University of Florida and his B.A. from Lafayette College.
