Undocumented Student Support Services

January 25, 2018 Message from Dr. John B. Clark, WCSU President

Dear Members Of Our University Community,

I am most pleased to let you know that this morning President Ojakian has written an eloquent letter on behalf of our DACA students to the members of Congress.  The timing could not be more appropriate since we just hosted a forum on DACA led by Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty yesterday morning at the Midtown campus in White Hall, which was attended by faculty, staff, students, the press and members of the community.

President Ojakian’s letter not only expresses the strong sentiment of support for DACA students held by President Ojakian and CSCU, but also myself and the WCSU community.  We are also most proud that our students have been leaders in this campaign which lies at the very heart of the WCSU mission – providing our students with the quality education to attain the American Dream.  Although we hope that a suitable agreement that is favorable and advantageous to our DACA students can be reached by the national leaders in Washington, D.C. soon, please rest assured they will always have the full support of myself as well as WCSU and the CSCU.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact myself or our Chief Diversity Officer, Jesenia Minier-Delgado at (203) 837-8277.

Best wishes,

Dr. John B. Clark, President
