WHAT DO YOU DO WITH A WOMEN’S STUDIES DEGREE?
Students with interests in Business, Education, Social Sciences, the Sciences or Humanities may wish to pursue a Women’s Studies minor or major. These courses will increase students’ skills and sensitivity to gender-related issues in many fields. Students across the country take Women’s & Gender Studies courses to prepare for work in medicine, nonprofits, counseling, social services, human resource development, teaching, law or politics, among many others.

HOW TO BECOME A MINOR
To complete a minor in Women’s Studies, you should enroll by completing this form and meeting with the program chair: Dr. Jessica Eckstein ecksteinj@wcsu.edu, located in Berkshire Hall 225.

MINOR REQUIREMENTS
To receive a minor in Women’s Studies, a student must complete 18 credits of Women’s Studies courses or cognates in consultation with her/his advisor. These 18 credits must include WS 200 Introduction to Women’s Studies – a required core course for the minor. Click here for a list of courses.
